Charmaine de Jongh-Gelderblom was born in Rustenburg, South Africa in 1956.

Her childhood days were spent in a car-free environment of hre family's small holding, where nature made a lasting impression on her.

After having matriculated, Charmaine completed a National Diploma in Environmental Health Care Mangement at the Pretoria Technicon.

Today Charmaine is a full-time artist, best known for her magnificent floral, landscape and figure studies. Her medium of choice is oil paint on canvas. Charmaine's work can be found in private collections, in South Africa and abroad.
